Could you define what your job role details and your day to day routine?
I have a double role currently. As Managing Director of the startup Jugaad Analytics, I am building a company together with my co-founder Mayank Gupta. The startup delivers algorithms for the process and aerospace industry, which have incomplete or corrupt data. With Jugaad Analytics we build algorithms based on Math and Engineering principles to close the gaps and to create value out of their incomplete data. Projects range from logistics to predictive maintenance.
In the mean time, I am also Interim Change Manager (Master Black Belt) for KLM Engineering & Maintenance to improve the MRO Turnaround Time in their business, specifically for Components Services. Besides this I will assist them to further develop their Open Innovation network and to setup Digital Innovation.
How is your organisation applying IoT?
Many MVP are being created and successful apps are introduced. KLM has founded Digital Studio’s to assist the business to create these apps for customers and personnel. An example I am working on at KLM is the visibility of the Supply Chain in the MRO process, from the aircraft via a logistic centre to the repair shop and back. This sounds trivial, but it’s not. Using and creating the right data is the crux of the project. I personally think not only in this project, but any digital project.
For Jugaad we work for a wide range of customers, but the base is the same: creating information from incomplete data through algorithms.
What were the biggest challenges in using this technology?
Technically: Data availability and validity
What can we expect from Air France – KLM in the next 12 months?
A lot of MVPs that are being tested, but mainly a lot of hard word to increase the availability of valid data
What can we expect from IoT in the next 12 months?
What I hear in the market is that a lot of companies are disappointed in the “trend” IoT (or Industry 4.0. I think they will realize that there is no black box solution or one solution fits all. I think most companies will focus on enablers and getting the data right.
What are you most looking forward to at the show?
Cases and user (success) stories are always the most interesting information
